HELP YOUR LIVESTOCK, HELP YOU & YOUR BOTTOM LINE

The Stock Handling and Staff Development (SSD) program is derived from the
Advanced Livestock Movement and Management methods as well as learned
patterns from years of working all types of stock and observing lots of different
stock handling. This has resulted in us creating an effective and long-lasting
program that has been used over large numbers of cattle with great results,
providing consistency year after year.

IT ALL STARTS WITH A LITTLE TRAINING EARLY ON

An easy hands-on two-day course will provide you and your staff with all the explanations and practical examples needed to implement this program at home, so your stock become cooperative and remain pliable long into the future.
It will give you step by step explanations to achieving results immediately.

Imagine the day when you can purchase any stock and know exactly where they’re at on their education journey

Follow-up on the job consultancy is also available.
What you’re going to get:

  • Staff/family on the same page
  • Clarity in stock handling
  • Cooperative livestock
  • Ability to teach new staff
  • Enjoy working livestock
  • Better life work balance
  • Confidence in your ability
  • Better weight gain
  • Less chopper hours
  • Less weight loss when weaning
  • Less transit weight loss

The S.S.D program works well in all links of the production chain and different operations varying from breeders, backgrounding, trading, studs, feedlots all of these on large and small scales as well as for both company’s and family-owned places.

The S.S.D team is dedicated to helping people develop stock handling practices that are sustainable and beneficial for both the cattle and the people handling them.

Clients Feedback

It should be an industry standard to have stock this relaxed and happy.

Huge thanks to Frank Wright for making the trek to come and run a weaner breaking school.

As a result, these weaners were an absolute pleasure to work in the yards and outside. If you’re looking for ways to improve how you are doing things and the quality of your cattle, I’d recommend one of his schools!

— Georgie Moore

Over the weekend we had the pleasure of hosting Frank Safe stock handling and staff education to run a weaner education school. I’ve received so many messages since from participants saying how much they’ve learnt and enjoyed the school, I couldn’t agree more! Frank presents a clear step by step program that can be used on all types of cattle to create a consistent product everytime, be it with dogs or without!

It’s honestly a brilliant school and everyone within the industry would benefit from getting to one!

— Jordan Donadel

Weaners done! Thanks to all who helped educate them over the weekend. Thanks Frank for teaching us your process and all the experience and yarns you filled us with.

I cannot recommend Safe stock handling and staff education enough, for a step by step weaner and stock education school. The dogs are loving the easy to move and easy to stop cattle.

— Ben Somerset

I found Frank’s weaner education program to be informative with some positive, fresh ideas. He is equally good with people as he is with cattle and dogs.

Very enjoyable!

Franks methodical approach to weaner education and staff development complemented by his passion, encouraging nature and quirky personality make for a 10/10 school experience. His schools and methods are authentic (matching his personality) and his priorities are obvious – the bells and whistles are the outcome for stock and staff following the school.

I can genuinely say that Frank’s school is one I will continue to make an effort to get back to and support. It’s an absolute pleasure to have been apart of Frank’s school and the ongoing support is very much appreciated.

The stock handling and staff development programme is excellent for weaner education. Not only do the livestock become safer to be around, but also more responsive when it comes to moving them. The cattle become so easy to shift, easy to stop, and settle quite well. There are great improvements in animal welfare and workplace health and safety outcomes. Using the techniques in the programme not only at weaning but throughout your entire livestock operation has major benefits too. While the cattle become slower, it all happens faster, with less downtime due to fence and yard damage and the like. Having a set programme to get all your staff on the same page is important as well.

I highly recommend Stock Handling and Staff Development’s course and methodology.

Going to a Stock Handling & Staff Development School gave me the skills and confidence to safely and calmly handle a mob of livestock and while it would suit someone of any level of experience.

It gave me a great foundation as a newcomer to the industry.
